Campari Soda Lounge

The project reinterprets the essence of Campari Soda – the bright red single-serve symbol of the Italian aperitif – in a contemporary way.

 

The exhibit and installations play with the form-color relationship creating a striking scenographic impact. REDesign uses a polyhedral project, which involves different urban areas, would impress even the toughest public. The first edition features the REDlounge, a spectacular interpretation of the Italian aperitif, the REDsculptures, intriguing installations that offer a surprising take on the famous little bottle, and the lively REDbars, mobile bar points scattered around the city. The Lounge. We have transformed a space of 200 sqm into 1.200 sqm completely dedicated to the ritual of the aperitif in its most authentic essence. Playing cleverly with lines, shapes and colors, space and time are reinterpreted to create a dimension without boundaries, in which the floor and the walls converge in a unique perspective experience. The key concept of the project lies in the interaction between the second and the third dimension. Two-dimensional graphics create three-dimensional illusions and sculptures which lose their volume through the radical application of a rigid 2D grid. The exclusive design applied to the architecture of the spaces forms a backdrop for a new aperitif experience: from the seating, specially designed for the REDlounge, to the mobile bar and the dimensional surfaces that multiply spatial perceptions. The custom-made REDchairs are spectacular design features. Thanks to their mirrored covers they blend in perfectly with the striking decor surrounding them, creating an impressive digital Trompe-l’oeil effect. REDsculptures.The project tries to capture the spirit of the Salone del Mobile and to stop time, materializing it through spectacular sculptures. Located in three key hotspots within the city of Milan, the world’s design capital, for six days, the three installations revisit the form, color and material of the historic aperitif bottle designed by Fortunato Depero. Surprising works of urban furniture allow you to visualize the moment of the aperitif, from an unusual perspective that cannot be missed. The spectacular, unique quality of the REDsculptures makes them an icon of an event packed with creativity.
